Laura, i'm looking at this image again, and I see more interesting lines. The diagonal lines created by the right legs of the men stepping forward are in sync with the no smoking sign and the arm railings of the steps leading downstairs. A very arresting image.

Laura, this is a really nice image I can't stop staring at it. Lots of things I like in it, namely:
1) how their black outfit contrasts highly with the light background
2) geometric shapes throughout the image - the stepladder shaped reflection on the glass building (left side of image). The building wall itself consists of rectangles. The squares on the base of the monument, to name a few,
3) lots of lines and in harmony with the rectangles and squares. Even the no smoking sign is in diagonal and framed in a rectangle.
4) the shape of their body tells their walk is unhurried.
A story-telling image indeed. Great architectural design, great photography, and nice treatment of color.
I'd give it more stars but 5 is the limit!
